Nicodemus came to Jesus in the dark, unsure, questioning, half-believing, but Jesus welcomed him anyway. That’s the heart of the gospel: God moves toward us before we have the words, the answers, or the courage to step fully into the light.
In Christ, God shows a love that refuses to exclude. A love that seeks, saves, and gathers all of us, every one of us, the certain and the uncertain, the bold and the afraid.
Nicodemus reminds us that faith often begins with a question. But Jesus meets doubt with revelation. God so loved the world, not a narrow world, not a filtered world, not a world of “the right people,” but the world.
God’s saving desire is bigger than our boundaries, and God’s welcome reaches further than our fears.
