Public Enemy No 1
Last week, the White House issued a “United States Counterterrorism Strategy.” The strategy itself is a threat against democracy. The report explicitly names people with “radically pro-transgender” ideologies alongside terrorists, cartels, and violent extremists.
Governments have long used the language of “security,” “extremism,” and “counterterrorism” to justify surveillance, policing, and repression against marginalized communities. Now transgender people, our allies, and advocates are being targeted.
The report’s language is chilling. President Trump concluded his introduction to the strategy by saying, “We will find you and we will kill you!”
Transgender people already face escalating violence, harassment, and criminalization. When the state describes trans existence and trans advocacy as a national security threat, it gives permission for further hostility. This rhetoric green lights transphobia and communicates that transgender identity itself is dangerous.
Jesus does not call us to hunt the vulnerable, but to protect them. Transgender people are not terrorists. We are human beings made in the image of God. Our lives are sacred. Our communities deserve safety, dignity, and freedom from harassment and fear.

Sobering.
I noticed the use of we are doing this for your safety b.s. when explanations of why women and children were being killed in Iran by aerial bombardment. It is past time to stop offering the other cheek to these criminals. Transgender people are no one’s enemy, not terrorists, how absurd and imaginative can someone be? A product of 1960’s horror exploitation movies where Hollywood ran out of ideas so picked on a minority within a minority.
