UMATI Justice Call
We will have our next UMATI event on March 22 at 6pm ET. We have seen in this last week the criticality of justice work after the Kansas legislature made an unprecedented move of taking transgender people’s driver’s licenses and birth certificates in an overt act of erasure.
On March 22 at 6pm ET, we will be joined by Maj Emma Webb who spent 10 years of service in the military before being discharged because of her gender. Major Webb will talk about her experiences and the removal of transgender people from the armed forces. This will lead us into a discussion of how we can work for protections and rights against anti-trans discrimination.
