What are you called?
Transgender people are called many things.
We are called confused.
We are called sinful.
We are called dangerous.
We are called a threat to children, to families, to the church, to the nation.
We are called mistakes.
We are called tranny.
We are called shemale.
We are called it.
We are called faggot.
We are called abomination.
We are called groomer.
We are called monster.
These are not words.
They are weapons.
They are meant to strip us of our humanity and make violence feel justified.
But none of those names tell the truth.
Because long before politicians spoke, before pundits shouted, before fear learned how to use our bodies as a weapon, God spoke.
God did not call us broken.
God did not call us disposable.
God did not call us a problem to be solved.
We are not defined by the names people call us. We do not carry the identities the world has tried to give us. We carry the name God has spoken to us, Beloved.
You are God’s beloved.
God delights in you.
God celebrates you.
God clothes you in garments of salvation.
Your name is Beloved.
